Technical content is not a specification

This is the important one. Everything on this site is general trade information. It is not a project specification, an engineering judgment, or a substitute for the technical data sheet and safety data sheet for the actual product you are spraying.

Coating performance depends on substrate condition, moisture, temperature, film thickness, mix ratio, equipment calibration, and a dozen other things we cannot see from here. Before you commit material to a job, read the manufacturer’s TDS and SDS, follow their written application instructions, and where the work is structural, containment, potable water, or life safety, get a qualified engineer or industrial hygienist involved.

Safety

Spray-applied polyurea and polyurethane systems involve isocyanates. Respiratory protection, ventilation, and skin protection requirements come from the SDS and from OSHA, not from a podcast. Nothing here overrides them.

Guest opinions

Guests speak for themselves. Their views are not necessarily ours or our publisher’s.

External links

We link to sources, standards bodies, and other people’s work. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what is on them.

Liability

We publish this in good faith and take sourcing seriously, but we provide it as-is and cannot accept liability for decisions made on the basis of it. See the paragraph about specifications above, which is the whole point.
