We will get things wrong. Coatings is a field where a single number reported under the wrong test method can send somebody down the wrong path on a real job, so we would rather fix it loudly than quietly.
How to report an error
Email hello@polyureapodcast.com with the article or episode, what is wrong, and the correct information with a source if you have one. You do not need to be polite about it.
What we do
- Factual error in an article. We fix the text and add a dated correction note at the bottom stating what was wrong and what it now says. The original error is described, not erased.
- Factual error in a published episode. Audio does not get re-cut except for a serious safety error. We add a correction to the episode notes and read it at the top of the next episode.
- Safety-relevant error. Anything involving isocyanate exposure, respiratory protection, confined space, hot work, or containment gets corrected the same day we confirm it, and the correction goes at the top of the page rather than the bottom.
- Typos and broken links. Fixed silently. No note needed.
What we will not do
We do not delete articles to make an error disappear, and we do not backdate a fix to pretend it was always right.
